Many older adults rely on in-home direct care workers (DCWs) to live at home and in the community. However, persistent shortages of DCWs compromise the health and wellbeing of older adults and caregivers.

Join USAging for a webinar on Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) perspectives on the impact of DCW shortages on older adults and caregivers, and the strategies AAAs are employing to address this growing crisis. Presenters will share findings from the 2025 National Survey of Area Agencies on Aging on how DCW shortages are impacting consumer services and outcomes. AAA speakers will share practical approaches they are using to strengthen the direct care workforce in their communities.
