New Insights: Direct Care Workers Data Brief Available

Older adults need in-home direct care workers (DCWs) to live at home and in the community. However, persistent shortages of DCWs compromise the health and well-being of older adults and caregivers. Based on data gathered through the 2025 National Survey of Area Agencies on Aging, this new data brief describes the impact of DCW shortages on client services and outcomes and discusses how AAAs are addressing these challenges in their communities.
