Advocacy

USAging advocates on behalf of Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) and Title VI Native American Aging Programs (Title VI Programs) to advance federal policies that effectively address the needs of an aging America. Working with Congress and the Administration, we bring the local perspective of our members to DC and champion the needs of older adults, people with disabilities and their caregivers on a wide range of critical policy issues.

New! 2026 Policy Priorities
Our 2026 Policy Priorities outline the critical policy considerations facing AAAs and Title VI Programs—and the whole Aging Network. They also reflect where our collective advocacy is needed this year to promote the health, security and well-being of older adults in every community across the country.

Cover of USAging’s Policy Priorities 2026 report. The cover features the USAging logo and the title “Policy Priorities 2026: Promote the Health, Security and Well-Being of Older Adults.” A collage of four photos shows older adults receiving support and care, including a person embracing an older adult, two people using a tablet together, a healthcare visit, and an older adult portrait. Blue, purple, and yellow graphic accents frame the images.
